Frequently asked questions
Can the watermark be removed from the file?
The watermark is part of the page content, so no one can hide it in a regular PDF viewer. An experienced user could still delete it in a PDF editor, though – so it’s better to redact sensitive information.
Can I add the watermark to only some pages?
The watermark is added to all pages. To put text on individual pages, use the Text tool.
Will the text of the document change?
No. The watermark is added as an extra layer, and the original text can still be selected and searched.
Can I add page numbers too?
Yes, on the Page numbers tab in the same window.
Who can see my document?
Only you and anyone you send the link to. The document is edited in your browser and only ever reaches our server encrypted. The copy deletes itself one hour after your last edit. Learn more in our privacy policy.
